Due to its geographical location, Colombia has a pleasant and constant tropical climate. However depending on the city you choose for your trip you will find that there are differences in the temperatures. So please take the following recommendations of the cities where our offices are located into account:
The average temperature in Bogotá is between 10 C and 20 C. It can rain quite a lot so a raincoat and warm clothing is recommended.
In Pereira the average temperature is between 17°C and 26°C. The climate is warm but nevertheless it is recommended to have a coat on hand as it has a high probability of rain.
Cartagena is the city where the temperature is the highest due to its coastal location, the average being between 26°C and 32°C. Light clothing is recommended and here you can also enjoy the wonderful beaches .

Visas
INSER patients who require admission to Colombia for fertility treatment and tourism must present a valid passport or visa if their country requires it. If your stay is for more than three months, you must apply for a cédula de extranjería (foreigner’s identity card) in order to live in the country free of legal restrictions.
Most countries do not require a visa to enter Colombia. However, please check the situation in your country of origin to verify the process you must follow in order to make a legal and safe trip.

Vaccines
When travelling to a foreign country it is important to be up to date with some vaccines that are necessary to avoid possible health problems coming from the country.
If you are coming to our locations in the main cities of Medellin, Bogota, Pereira and Cartagena you do not require a specific vaccination in order to enter. However, if your travel plans include visiting other regions (especially jungle areas and natural parks) you should check if you require any vaccinations.
