Travel recommendations during the pandemic

In the midst of the current situation in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we want you to know that at INSER we are prepared to take care of you during your visit to our clinics. For us, the most important thing is to provide you with a safe and peaceful experience during your trip and fertility treatment in Colombia. That is why we would like to share some recommendations with you that you should take into account if you are planning to travel in the near future.

  • Check with your country’s government for restrictions on mobility and travel abroad. This will determine whether you can schedule your trip to Colombia.
  • If your country’s borders are open, you need to check which airlines are providing the service, what their routes are, and what their travel requirements are.
  • Confirm your travel dates with the INSER staff. At the same time, make sure that the borders of your country, those of Colombia and the city you are travelling to, are open for that period of time.
  • Be sure to make reservations for accommodation and transportation in Colombia before your trip. This will help you avoid being at risk in public places where there are high concentrations of people. * At INSER we can help you with your travel arrangements. Should you be interested, please contact us at [email protected]
  • Please verify the entry protocol of your country of origin so that you can return home safely and without any possible inconvenience that may arise after your treatment in Colombia. If you require a negative Covid 19 test, you can write to us so that we can give you the details of certified laboratories that provide PCR as well as the antigen and antibody tests. Write to us at [email protected]

*Please note that Colombia opened its borders to international travelers in the month of September. However, you must confirm if the city you are traveling to has its airports open and if there are any changes in the regulations.

1. You must have completed your Check-Mig through the Migration Colombia website www.migracioncolombia.gov.co . This is available from 24 hours up to 1 hour before your flight . See step by step instructions

2. You must bring several face masks with you so that you can easily change them if your flight is longer than two hours. Remember that it is mandatory to use them during your entire trip, at all times while in the airport and when using transportation in the city.

3. Wash and sanitize your hands constantly.

4. As of December 14, 2021, and until further notice, all international travelers over 18 years of age must present their vaccination schedule against COVID-19 with all required doses.

Remember to follow every step of our Biosafety protocol for patients. It is essential to take care of yourself and take care of our INSER team

Some important points are:

  • The use of face masks is mandatory during your entire visit to any one of the clinics.
  • We recommend that you clean or sanitize your hands every 20 minutes. We also recommend that you do not touch your face (eyes, nose, mouth and ears) during the time you are away from the hotel where you are staying.
  • Attend the clinic without a companion. In this way we will be able to respect the physical distancing between people.
